One of the strengths of Friends of the Edisto is the diversity of the people and groups it connects by focusing on the Edisto, first and foremost.
Each year, we stage events along the banks of the river, typically including food, music, fellowship, fun, river activities, education, and outreach. These events provide the opportunity to meet and network with other Edisto enthusiasts, to catch up on issues that have a bearing on the river's current and future wellbeing, and to enjoy food and entertainment in beautiful riverside settings. They also provide valuable opportunities for FRED to recruit new members, renew existing memberships, and build our connections with the river and the people who enjoy it.
