Friends of the Edisto wants to promote opportunities for people and groups to communicate and build relationships that will advance our mission to protect and enhance the Edisto River and its watershed.
We stage events along the banks of the river which include food, fellowship, and fun, with music, river activities, education, and outreach. These events provide opportunity to meet and network with other Edisto enthusiasts and talk about issues affecting the river in beautiful riverside settings. FRED events also provide opportunities to recruit new members, renew existing memberships, and build our connections with the river and the people who enjoy it.

2nd Annual Roast for the River
Join us for some fun on the farm benefiting Friends of the Edisto & Edisto Riverkeeper! Bring your friends and enjoy some local craft beer, yard games & a meet and greet with your Edisto Riverkeeper to hear about all things Edisto! Tickets include roasted ACE Basin oysters, chili and fixins and some local Aiken sweets. Fantastic raffle items will also be available! All ticket proceeds go to helping fund our continued efforts to protect South Carolina's blackwater gem, the Edisto River. See you there!
