2015 Edisto River Flood Relief T-Shirts!
Friends of the Edisto has always worked closely with the communities of the Edisto River, and now is the time to help a shaken community that has also supported the river in countless ways.
To contribute to Orangeburg flood relief efforts, FRED has printed limited edition t-shirts, with proceeds going to Orangeburg County through the Central Carolina Community Foundation.

Even as the historic October flooding in South Carolina subsided in the Midlands, a tremendous volume of water drained towards the Lowcountry, with unprecedented major flooding of at least 15 feet occurring along the North Fork of the Edisto River in Orangeburg County. The unique subtle elevation change of only 272 feet between the Midlands and the Lowcountry meant that water levels remained elevated for many days in some areas. Across Orangeburg, the second largest county in the state, roads many motorists use to reach other destinations were closed. Authorities responded to roof collapses and scattered power outages due to downed trees and lines. Several homes were flooded. At least one family was rescued from the North Fork’s overflowing waters. Farmers were left scratching their heads as to what to do with their soybean, cotton, and peanut crops.
