Smoke on the Water 

This FRED event provides a great opportunity to enjoy food, fun, fellowship, and music on the banks of our beautiful Edisto River.

In 2021, after a long year of COVID-caused cancellations, we're making a gradual start to the year with our Smoke On The Water event on Saturday, April 17. A chicken bog is being planned for the lunch. The location is Metts Landing at Marvins Drive off Hwy 61 upstream of Whetstones. Coordinates:  33.17969909571981, -80.81016330744086

If you’d like to join the paddling group hosted by Jerry Bell and the Bamberg Chamber, they’ll be putting in at Zig Zag landing, and paddling down to the event site just upstream of the Whetstone crossroads.

More details coming soon, but another happening at this event is the return of the Flathead Beatback Fishing Tournament’s weigh-in. You'll see some big flathead catish taken from Edisto and the folks doing the good deed.
